Lemee' and Luis met while working in the same industry in Houston. Got married at Laguna Gloria in November and together with their 2 dogs made the leap to Brooklyn 1 week after their glorious nuptials. I am absolutely in LOVE with these two bridal shots from Maggie's recent bridal session at Laguna Gloria. I was awfully proud of them, if you're like me, you've seen it all. Sometimes it's nice to push the envelope a little. Maggie and Brooke were right there with me. Thanks guys for trusting me, and trying "weird" stuff for the sake of art! Best of 2010 - Austin Wedding Photographer

It amazes me every year that passes, quicker and quicker now.

Then I get to take a look back and see where we have been... and where we are going.

This year we got to work on a few editorial projects, namely People Magazine for a story about a young father who almost lost his son forever, and the New York Times for a story about a man who reenlisted in the Navy after the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy was over turned. The world is changing and I am excited that I get to capture those moments.

We also got to work with Door Number 3 on a campaign for Highland Lakes, travel and tourism. Three grueling hot days in August is like summer camp for creatives. Way too much fun! They call this a job!?

This year we also had the privilege of photographing many wonderful couples on their most special day. For that we were both humbled and honored. Thank you.

As an artist it is difficult to turn a critical eye on yourself. I poured through images from the entire year to try to find just the right images for this post and I realized at the last minute that the key should be, which images speak to me. These images may not be the best representation of what She-N-He is capable of or even known for, but they happen to be my personal favorites from this year. I hope you like them. Lastly, we had the unique opportunity to work with students in their senior year of high school. They're straddling the edge of adolescence and  we're there to witness those last few steps, it doesn't get any better than this.

Hermes Family - Austin Family Photographer

The Hermes Family - Laguna Gloria 10.23.10 We met Tricia and Jonathan Stinson about 2 years ago. We photographed their wedding at Mansion at Judges Hill earlier this year. Today was a little more casual. The littlest in this group wasn't even born yet. The Hermes family got all together again at the end of the year to commemorate their growing family.

7.7.10 Carly's Bridal Session

Carly and Chad were married on July 4th @ Mandola Estate Winery in Driftwood.

I have been excited for this wedding for over a year. I am wild for Carly + Chad and Carly's mom Donna. We have had a lot of fun during this year of planning. Carly started out, shall we say, skeptical, she may have had a couple bad experiences with wedding photographers and she was convinced we were all the same. She learned fast, after her girlfriend, at the expo, told her "if she wasn't a photographer, she would be your friend." We found out later that I could be a photographer and we could still be friends. Thank you Carly and Chad for your trust, and your friendship.

Our journey together began during their engagements session in October 09. click here to view. After that Carly decided she would like to add a bridal session, I think she always wanted one, she's a natural, anyway, in front of the camera. She chose the delicious and classic Laguna Gloria as a backdrop for our session. I couldn't be more pleased with how the session came out, so beautiful. Thanks to Donna and Larry for all of your help on that shoot. 

Carly and Chad tied the knot at the Mandola Estates on the 4th of July. The ceremony and reception were beautiful but my favorite part was the surprise fireworks display, they did a great job, and it was  a thrill for the Bradshaws'. 

Steve was walking around the gardens shooting some exterior shots for the our album when he was told by a patron that he "looked like a professional," and might he take a few shots of him with his girlfriend. Seconds after Steve took his camera the man knelt before his girlfriend and proposed. Steve unwavered by the man's surprise proposal shot the entire scene. It was exciting for her, for sure, but Steve had a really good time with it too.

Congratulations Carly and Chad, I'll post your wedding pictures in a few weeks when I have them ready. Congratulations mystery couple, we wish you all ever happiness on your new journeys.

10-9-09 Stacy's Bridal

We shot Stacy and Rocky's wedding over the weekend in Austin. We had a very nice time meeting everyone and playing with all of the glorious kids. What a blast and an extemely happy couple. We so happy for you guys and congratulate you on you new marriage and fresh new dwellings.
